Why I Do It

I believe the greatest gift you can give your children is a foundation of love, security, and deep connection, nurturing them into healthy, confident individuals who positively impact future generations. This gift begins in the womb.

“This method is not just about promoting physical health. It's about creating a profound and lasting emotional bond between the mother and her child.”

Dr. Gerhard Schroth

Prenatal Bonding (BA) is a method that fosters a strong emotional connection between a mother and her unborn baby. It combines psychoanalysis, pre-and-perinatal psychology, and medicine. This bond is crucial for the baby's future emotional and psychological development.

8,000 case studies have proven:

  • Often leading to more relaxed and less complicated pregnancies

  • Satisfy your baby's primary needs for acceptance, love, security, and attachment

  • Reduce postpartum depression rates to less than 2% (G. Schroth, 2020)

  • Promote a healthy brain development and emotional well-being for your baby

Journal for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health 37(1), Spring 2023

"Prenatal Bonding (BA) sets the stage for a lifetime of positive parent-child relationships, nurturing the child’s self-esteem, resilience, and personal potential."

- Alicia Contreras

Dr. Gerhard Schroth began pre-and perinatal education in 1996. Received Prenatal Bonding (BA) training from Raffai and Hidas in Hungary in 2004 and has taught Prenatal Bonding (BA) since 2009. Under Dr. Schroth's mentorship, Alicia became a Certified International Prenatal Bonding (BA) facilitator in Germany.

Aspiring Prenatal Bonding (BA) facilitators begin their journey with comprehensive training, where they master the psychoanalytic foundations and deep bonding techniques.

Hands-on training is required to develop the empathy, sensitivity, and skills needed to guide expectant mothers effectively.

Facilitators who complete the training receive certification as professionals competent in Prenatal Bonding (BA) techniques.

Prenatal Bonding (BA) facilitators need deep empathy, excellent communication skills, and a profound understanding of psychological and emotional health. Patience, compassion, and a passion for nurturing life are crucial for success.

Prenatal Bonding (BA)

Prenatal Bonding (BA) is tailored to your individual needs, typically starting around the 20th week of pregnancy and ending in the 38th/39th week. Program sessions are one hour long and held once a week until week 36, followed by 9 shorter sessions over a little over two weeks.
